4. Legal Bases for UK and EEA Users
Where UK or European Economic Area data protection law applies, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases, depending on the processing activity:
-
Performance of a contract, where processing is necessary to accept and fulfill your order, process payment, provide delivery, handle returns and refunds, or manage your customer account;
-
Compliance with a legal obligation, where processing is necessary to meet tax, accounting, consumer protection, or other legal requirements;
-
Legitimate interests, where processing is necessary to secure the website and transactions, prevent fraud, provide customer support, analyze and improve the Services, and reasonably operate and develop our business. When relying on legitimate interests, we consider and balance those interests against your rights; and
-
Consent, including for non-essential cookies, personalized advertising, or email marketing where consent is required. You may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before consent was withdrawn.
5. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies to:
-
Operate essential functions such as the cart, checkout, account sign-in, and website security;
-
Remember language, region, and other preferences;
-
Analyze website use and performance through Shopify and Google Analytics 4; and
-
Measure advertising, attribute conversions, and provide relevant or personalized advertising through Meta Pixel, Facebook & Instagram, Google Ads, and related services.
Where required by applicable law, we request consent before using non-essential cookies or similar technologies. You can change your choices through Manage preferences in our cookie banner. Refusing non-essential cookies will not prevent basic shopping functions, but it may affect personalization, analytics accuracy, or advertising relevance.
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, although some website features may not function properly as a result. For information about cookies Shopify uses on merchant storefronts, please review the Shopify Cookie Policy.
6. Marketing Emails and Abandoned Checkout Reminders
If you subscribe to marketing emails, or where otherwise permitted by applicable law, we may use Shopify Email to send you news, offers, and other promotional communications. We may also send cart or checkout reminders based on your shopping activity and marketing preferences.
You can stop receiving promotional emails at any time by selecting Unsubscribe in an email. Even after you unsubscribe, we may continue to send non-marketing service messages, such as order confirmations, shipping notices, security alerts, and refund communications.
We do not currently use text messages for marketing. If we introduce SMS marketing in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and obtain any consent required by applicable law before collecting or using information for that purpose.

8. Our Relationship With Shopify
Our store is powered by Shopify. Information you submit through the website is transmitted to Shopify and may be processed by Shopify and its service providers outside your country or region to operate, protect, improve, and personalize Shopify’s services.
Certain Shopify features may combine information from your interactions with our store, other Shopify merchants, and Shopify services. Where Shopify determines the purposes and means of processing for its own purposes, it may act as an independent controller. You can review the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and manage certain choices provided directly by Shopify through the Shopify Privacy Portal.
9. Sale, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising Choices
We do not sell personal information for money. However, under certain U.S. state privacy laws, disclosing online identifiers and website activity information to Meta, Google, Shopify, or other advertising and analytics services may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or processing for “targeted advertising.”
Where applicable law gives you the right to opt out, you can use Your Privacy Choices in the website footer or visit our Data Sharing Opt-Out Page.
If your browser sends a supported Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we will treat it as an opt-out request for that browser or device where required by applicable law and technically supported. Other than GPC, we do not currently respond to other “Do Not Track” signals.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights. We do not have actual knowledge that we sell or share the personal information of individuals under 16 years of age.
10. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including fulfilling orders and providing after-sales service, maintaining customer accounts, satisfying tax, accounting, and other legal obligations, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, and protecting the security of our website and business.
The specific retention period depends on the type of information, the purpose for which it is used, our relationship with you, applicable legal retention requirements, and whether continued retention is necessary. When information is no longer required, we will delete, anonymize, or otherwise handle it appropriately under applicable law. Where immediate deletion is not possible for backup, technical, or legal reasons, we will restrict further use as appropriate.
11. International Data Transfers
ECOHUB operates from Hong Kong and uses global service providers, supply-chain providers located in mainland China, and warehouses and carriers located in various countries or regions. Your personal information may therefore be transferred to, stored in, or processed in countries outside the place where you live, where data protection laws may differ.
We make these transfers only as necessary to fulfill orders, provide the Services, or carry out the other purposes described in this Privacy Policy. Where required by applicable law, we use appropriate safeguards, which may include approved standard contractual clauses, data transfer agreements, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
12. Information Security
We use reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, loss, or destruction. However, no method of internet transmission or storage is completely secure. Please protect access to your account and email and avoid sending sensitive information through unsecured channels.
13. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on the laws where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights:
-
To confirm whether we process your personal information and request access to relevant information or a copy;
-
To correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information;
-
To request deletion of your personal information;
-
To request restriction of certain processing;

To opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information or targeted advertising, as those terms are defined by applicable law;
-
To appeal our refusal of a privacy request where applicable law provides that right; and

To complain to the data protection or privacy authority in your country or region.
These rights are not absolute and may be subject to conditions and exceptions under applicable law. To protect your information, we may need to verify your identity. Where permitted by law, you may authorize an agent to make a request on your behalf, but we may require proof of authorization and may verify your identity directly.
To exercise your rights, email help@ecohubtravel.com or use the privacy-choice tools available on the website. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

The website may contain links to third-party websites, social platforms, or services. We do not control the privacy or security practices of those parties. When you leave our website, we encourage you to review the relevant third party’s privacy notice. A third-party link does not, by itself, mean that we endorse or guarantee that party’s privacy practices.
